Ionia Sentinel Standard-February 2016

L.G.LAKE
L.G. Lake, age 87 of Ionia, passed away Feb. 12, 2016 in Grand Rapids. He was 
born April 16, 1928 in Ionia, Michigan, the son of Milton and Sarah Ruth (Main) 
Lake.

L.G. married Shirley June Smalley May 29, 1954, she preceded in death May 17, 
1983. He served in the Army during the Korean War. L.G. farmed all his life and 
was a jack of all trades.

L.G. is survived by his children: Dale (Patti) lake of Tennessee, Dirk (Laurie) 
Lake of Ionia, Dawn (Jeff) Klinesmith of Ionia and Dane (Tracy) Lake of Grand 
Rapids; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley, six brothers, two sisters and a 
daughter-in-law, Teresa Lake.

Cremation has taken place and there will be graveside services in the spring.
