Lake, 76, of Belding, who died in a nursing home Monday night. A resident of Belding since 1928, Lake had been a foreman in the machine shop of Belding Basket factory. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Ralph Vanderwall of Fremont and Mrs. Clair Pratt of Alma, three sons: Clarence A. Lake of Palo, Guy R. of Greenville and James N. of Belding, four sisters: Mrs. Curtis Masten of Ludington, Mrs. Herman Russell of Belding, Mrs. Earl Carr of Remus and Mrs. John Whitehead of Lapeer, 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. The Rev. Ralph Johnson of Belding Baptist church will officiate and interment will be at River Ridge cemetery. Bearers will be Milan Rowe, Roy Kaser, Martin Engemann, Ed O'Connor, Robert Bussell and Richard Bussell.
