Morrison J. Lake, age 78, of Saranac passed away January 18, 2004 in Saranac. 
He was born May 22, 1925 in Orleans Twp. the son of Milton and Sara (Main) 
Lake. He married Virginia Smith February 21, 1948 in Grand Ledge. He loved to 
garden and fish. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his 
grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years Virginia Smith of 
Saranac; children Gary (Christine) Lake of Mulliken, David (Judy) Lake of Lake 
Odessa, Brenda (Harry) Cotton of Montpelier, Ohio, Leonard Lake of Charlotte; 
Pamela (Dennis) Normington of Portland; brothers, Hersal (Margaret) Lake of 
McBain, Leo (Louis) Lake of Grand Rapids, L.G. Lake of Saranac; sister 
Celestine (Stanley) Abott of Grand Rapids; Eight grandchildren and two great 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents one sister Amie Callen; one brother 
George Lake; infant brother; three grandchildren Dale Cotton, Becky Cotton, 
and Susan Cotton.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 21, 2004 at 
Ionia County Church of Christ with Rev. Fred Lab officiating. Arrangements by 
Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions 
to Ionia Commission on Aging.
