LAKE, BERNICE MARIE (WELLS) (DEAN) (MRS. ROY JAMES):
   SENTINEL STANDARD, IONIA, MI, Tuesday, November 19, 2002, p 2:  "OBITUARIES -
BERNICE M. DEAN, 80, of 200 E. First St., Stanton, passed away Friday, Nov. 8,
2002.
   She was born April 8, 1922 in Saranac, the daughter of Lila and Russell
Wells.  She married Rollo C. Dean in 1946 in Ohio.
   She was preceded in death by one son, Gerald Lake in 1992.
   She is survived by Rollo Dean, her husband; one daughter, Judy (Herb) Olson
of Grand Rapids; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five sisters,
Betty Adams of Lansing, Ialene Lake of Ionia, Joyce (Bob) Utter of Fenwick,
Bonnie (Jesse) Frost of Clarksville and Donna (Norm) McKellips of Ionia; three
brothers, Vernon (Ruth) Wells of Ionia, Wayne (Barb) Wells; and Roy (Crystal)
Wells of Saranac.
   Funeral services were held November 12, 2002 at Stebbins and Simpson Funeral
Home, Sheridan with the Rev. Kenneth Harger of Shiloh Community Church
officiating.  Interment is at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa."
