LAKE, FOSTER CHARLES:
   IONIA DAILY SENTINEL-STANDARD, MI, Friday, September 18, 1959, p 2:  "FOSTER
LAKE, 63, Muir, died Thursday at 10:30 p.m. at the Veterans hospital in Dearborn
where he had been a patient for the past five weeks.
   He was a veteran of World War I.
   Mr. Lake was born October 20, 1896 in Mecosta county, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Thomas Lake and was married in 1919 at Blanchard to Viola Sprague who survives
him.  A son, Austin, was killed in 195? in Korea.
   Surviving besides his wife, are four sons, John of Lansing, Foster, Jr., of
Ionia, Melvin of Bath, and Lloyd of Muir; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline
Pennington of Ionia, Mrs. Nora Stafford of Augusta, Mrs. Jeanette Bellingar of
Maple Rapids and Mrs. Betty Northrup of Muir; 18 grandchildren, three brothers
and two sisters.
   Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the North Plains
church.  Burial will be at North Plains cemetery.
   Arrangements were made by the Estep funeral home of Muir."
