She was born at Indian Field, Kalamazoo county, and was married to Charles Lake January 31, 1874. They lived at Yorkville, Michigan until they moved to Lake Odessa bout 34 years ago. Mr. Lake operated a livery barn until several years ago when automobiles came into general use. She was a patient sufferer and was one of the grand old ladies loved by every one who knew her, never failing to do a kindly act or give a pleasant smile. She will be greatly missed by all of her acquaintances and especially her husband whose health has also been quite poorly. She leaves her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Nina Stanton, of Chelsa, Oklahoma, and one son, Guy Lake, of Climax, Mich., one daughter, Mrs. Maude Harrison, preceding her in death in March 1922. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the congregational church. Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.
