Marian Lake, 90, of Belding, passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 14, 2014, at
Metron of Belding.  Marian was born on Aug. 5, 1924, in Belding, the daughter of
Harold and Etta Mae (Stahlin) Beckwith.  In earlier years, Marian worked at the
basket factory in Belding.  She enjoyed taking care of people and helping
others.  She was a lifelong resident of Belding.

She is loved and survived by her son-in-law; Dan Thielke of Belding;
granddaughter, Christina (Akinola) Fasae of Grandville; nieces, Penny Barnaby
and Terry Johnson; and nephews, Jim Barnaby and Tom Groom.  She was preceded in
death by her husband, James Lake, in 1993; daughter, Judy Thielke in 2014; two
sisters, Maxine Bly and Bonnie Barnaby and her parents.

In keeping with her wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held.  Burial will
be in River Ridge Cemetery, Belding.  Funeral care has been entrusted to
Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, Belding.
