Funeral services for Renee Lakin, 11, of 504 Woodlot Court were held May 29 at
Nellers Funeral Home, Portland.  Jacklyn died May 27 at Butterworth Hospital,
Grand Rapids, of leukemia.  Rev. M. Christensen and Rev. Gene Sickler officiated
at the services.  Pallbearers were Robert Nason, A.B. Heaton, Kenneth Jameson,
John Beckett, Peter Baker and Norman Knapp.  Interment was in Portland Cemetery.

Jackie was born September 29,  1958, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Lakin. 
She was a member of Green Corners Baptist Church and in the sixth grade at
Hallpark School.

She is survived by her parents; grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lakin and Mr.
and Mrs. Howard Coe of Portland; three brothers, James II, Jonathan D. and
Jeffrey P.
