Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. April 9, 2013

Marilyn Grace Lally, 84, of Jenison, formerly of Balding, died Friday, April 5, 
2013. Marilyn was born on Aug. 24, 1928 to Floyd and Marie Janes.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Keith Scheiern, her second 
husband, James (Rex) Lally, and her brother Robert Janes. 

She is survived by her children: Roger (Chris) Scheiern, Diane (Joe) Harp, Dale 
Scheiern, Judy (Paul) Bunting, and Rex (Stephanie) Scheiern; her brother, David 
(Carla) Janes and sister-in-law Margaret Janes; eight grandchildren; five great-
grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She touched many lives as an English teacher at Belding High School. Marilyn 
was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church, Belding and her faith 
sustained her throughout her life. She enjoyed her family, friends, and world 
travels, along with her beautiful flowers and the Lallyland Blueberries.

Marilyn was an accomplished pianist who derived great pleasure from sharing her 
gift of music with others. Her kindness and caring nature will be greatly 
missed by everyone who knew her.

Memorial Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the United 
Methodist Church, Belding with Pastor Kim DeLong officiating. The family will 
greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service. 

Memorial contributions may be given to the Lally Scholarship Fund of Belding 
Area Schools, the Belding Library or the charity of one’s choice. Envelopes 
will be available at the service or at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 
Belding, where funeral care has been entrusted. Messages of condolences can be
