He was born Dec. 9, 1922 in Mecosta County, Mich., the son of Clare R. and Elner (Nelson) Lambert. He married Doris Calcott on Dec. 9, 1944 in Lansing. He taught public school for 36 years, retiring in 1985. He was a life member of D.A.V. and a member of VFW Post #4461 of Lake Odessa. Surviving are his wife Doris Lambert; two sons, Rob (Jane) Lambert of Saranac, Jeffry (Lucinda) Lambert of Portage; four daughters, Anita (Art) Villanueva of Lake Odessa, Lori Lambert of Hastings, Tina (Ed) Cox of Radford, Virginia, Martha (Jonathan) Katz of Severna Park, Maryland; special son, Kurt (Jean) Guild of Clarksville; and Stephanie’s fiance Jerry Voyer of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; sisters, Jean (Frank) Schwarting of Woodland, Claire (Larry) Heinonen of Union City; brother, Bob (Pat) Lambert of Morrisville, New York; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Stephanie Seifke. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 1998 at Lakewood United Methodist Church with Rev. Harris Hoekwater officiating. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa.
