Alice M. Lambertson, 77, of No. 29 Belhaven, Belding, died July 30 at 
Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids.  She was born May 29, 1916, in Orleans, 
the daughter of L. J. and Martha Schultz Whitford.  

She was preceded in death b her husband James in 1982.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Belding.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean Blanchard of Crystal and Betty Sharpe of 
Rockford; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou 
Dahl of Ojai, Calif., and Esther Bush of Belding; two brothers, Ted Whitford 
of Belding and Walter Whitford of Grover City, Calif.; and by Leonard Hall of 
Belding.  She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. from Johnson Funeral Home, with the 
Rev. Dick Woodward and the Rev. Ted Simmons officiating.  Burial will be in 
Orleans Cemetery.  Memorials have been established for the First 
Congregational Church of Belding and American Cancer Society, in care of the 
funeral home.
