Carl L. Lamphere, aged 77, of Muir, passed away March 31, 2006. He was born 
December 19, 1928 in Pontiac, Mich. the son of Donald and Vivian (Chase) 
Lamphere.  He married Virgina Tingley Feb 17, 1946 in Muir.  He was employed 
by Lindell Drop Forge until he retired in October of 1989.  He enjoyed the 
game of baseball and golf.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Virginia Lamphere of Muir; 
children Donna Faria of Alaska, John and Betty Lamphere of Muir, Joe Lamphere 
of Muir, and Carol Lamphere of Muir; sister-in-laws Betty Lamphere of 
Caledonia and Helen Lamphere of Ionia; grandchildren Adie McRoberts, Jamie 
Benson, Brock Lamphere, Jennifer Lamphere, Griff Lamphere, B.J. Faria, Joseph 
Lamphere and Jeannine Lamphere; great grandchildren Emily Vanhouten, Cloe 
Vanhouten, Hailey McRoberts and Quinn Benson.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, April 4, 2006, from 
6:30-8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Muir.  Memorial services will be held 
11 a.m., Wednesday April 5, 2006, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Harger 
officiating.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to Shiloh 
community Church or Commission on Aging.
