The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, November 14, 1931

Mrs. Harriet I. Lampkin, 68, died Friday in her apartment, 2537 West Grand 
Boulevard, Detroit.  Services will be held in Detroit Sunday afternoon.  Burial 
will be in Oak Hill cemetery Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Lampkin was a resident of Ionia many years, the most of her eight children 
receiving grade school education here.  One of her children, John H. Lampkin, 
is deceased.  Those living are Mary E. Pierce, Toledo, O.; Dr. H. F. Lampkin, 
physician and surgeon, of Chicago; Edward M. Lampkin, salesman, of Grand 
Rapids; Gilbert H. Lampkin, with the Hudson store, Detroit, Mrs. Gladys Rice, 
Detroit; Miss Irene Lampkin and Paul H. Lampkin, teachers in the Detroit public 
schools.
