The Ionia Standard, Friday, April 9, 1909


The funeral service for John Lampkin was attended on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 
at the late home on State street, and at 3:00 at the Methodist church.  Many 
neighbors and friends of the family were present at both services, as well as 
numerous of the former associates of the young man, the Signal Corps of which 
deceased was a member, attending as an organization.  The bearers were selected 
from the Signal Corps, as follows:  Leon McVeigh, Don McKinnon, Glenn 
VanGlesen, Wm. Stiven, Cecil Alden, Fred Smith.

We wish in this way to thank the Signal Corps, our friends and neighbors for 
their many thoughtful kindnesses and favors during our late bereavement.
