M. Maynard Sunday morning caused the instant death of Charles Lance, of South Ionia. Mr. Lance was 55 years of age and was born in Fowler. He lived and operated a farm in that community all of his life until about a year ago when he moved to South Ionia. He is survived by the widow and eight children, Freeman, William, George, Howard and Don and Mrs. Alice Hennie, of Ionia; Mrs. Esther David, of Unionville, and Charles, of Flint. There are also living several brothers and sisters including William, of Jackson, Ernest, of Detroit, James, of St. Johns, Mrs. Alice Wilson, Mrs. Amanda Warren, Mrs. Isadora Baldwin, of St. Johns, Mrs. Hattie Durst, Mrs. Mary Crowell, Pompeii, Mrs. Almeda Russ, St. Clair Shores, and Mrs. Ora Fink, of Fowler. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home and interment was in the Eureka cemetery.
