Donald “Moose” H. Lance Sr. , 58 of Ionia, passed away unexpectedly August 18, 
2010 in Ionia. 

He was born February 24, 1952 in Ionia the son of Donald G. and Betty 
(Collier) Lance. Donald married Debbie Parker in 1983. He attended Belding 
Schools and worked for General Tire until it closed. He loved to farm and 
adored his grandchildren. 

Donald is survived by his loving wife Debbie Lance of Ionia; mother, Betty 
Lance of Palo; children, Jeremy (Laura) Fifield of Rockford, Donald (Lindee) 
Lance Jr., Mike (Beth) Lance of Belding, Jason (Lisa) Fifield of Belding, 
Clinton (Sylvia) Lance of Ionia and Sally (Jeremy) Buskirk of Ionia; Brothers, 
Jim Lance of Belding and Dennis Lance of Texas; sister, Cheryl (Joe) Curler of 
Palo and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Donald G. 
Lance and one sister Jean Lance in 2006. 

Funeral services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia 
with Pastor Rich Fulkerson officiating. Interment Easton Cemetery. The family 
will receive friends and relatives Monday 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 
the funeral home. Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions in his name 
to his family.
