Lyons Herald, 23 May 1912

Cecil R. Lane died at his home in the village Wednesday at about one o’clock, 
aged 59 years, 4 months and 2 days.

He had been ailing for some time but his death came as a sudden shock to his 
many relatives and friends.  He felt better yesterday and went to the table for 
dinner, leaving before his wife, saying he would lie down.  He called her and 
before assistance could be secured he passed away.  Heart failure is given as 
the immediate cause of death.

The funeral will be held from the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock fast 
time.  Interment will be in the Lyons cemetery.
