The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, September 16, 1931

Funeral services for Mrs. George Lane, of Pewamo, were held at the Pewamo 
Methodist Episcopal church in Pewamo Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with Rev. A. S. 
Cook officiating.  Burial was in East Plains cemetery.  Mrs. Lane was formerly 
Miss Mary Seitmer and was born in Matherton in 1860.  She was one of a family 
of five children, only one, Mrs. Fred Dean, surviving.  She also leaves her 
husband and three step-children.  She died Sunday afternoon following an 
illness of several months.
