William H. Lang, 88, of 1091 Belding road, Orleans township, died at 4 o’clock
Sunday afternoon after shoveling snow at his home.

He was born January 9, 1875 in Grand Rapids and had lived with his
brother-in-law and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bettinghouse, the past 18 years. 
Mr. Lang came here from Vermont where he was postmaster 40 years.  He was
married in 1885 to Luetta A. Bettinghouse who died in 1949.

Mr. Lang is survived by a brother, Karl Lang of Chestertown, N.Y.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at Boynton
funeral home.  The Rev. Barry Grahl of Greens Corners Baptist church will
officiate.
