Mrs. Langdon suffered a stroke three years ago and had been in ill health since. She was a very active member of the Hubbardston Methodist church, where for many years she acted as organist and also served as choir director. She was active in the work of the Farm Bureau as well as other civic and community groups. The daughter of Myron and Fionna Goolthrite, pioneers of the area, she was born August 3, 1887 on the same farm where she had lived the past 44 years. On August 13, 1913 she married Charles Langdon, and for a time they lived at Bay City where Mr. Langdon taught and also at Lansing. Mrs. Langdon graduated from the University of Michigan in 1910. Surviving besides the husband are two daughters, Mrs. William H. (Dorothy) Yates of Midland, and Mrs. Andrew (Louise) Brown of Grosse Pointe Park; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Hubbardston Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:30, Rev. A. J. Backner, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will be made in West Side cemetery, Hubbardston. Arrangements are in charge of the Burns Funeral Home of Carson City.
