He was born in Hubbardston April 29, 1890 and graduated from Michigan State University (then MAC) in 1911 Mr.Langdon married the former Mabel E.Goolthrite of Hubbardston August 13, 1913. After her death, he married Zelma P. Osgood of St.Johns January 13, 1952. She survives. He taught agriculture in Bay City High School and Ypsilanti normal. He served as Alumni Secretary of MAC and was editor of the MAC Record. Returning to Hubbardston to manage the Goolthrite farm in 1917, he was also an agent for the State Farm Insurance Company. Mr. Langdon was an officer and choir member of the Hubbardston Methodist Church and served on the Clinton County Welfare Board and as a director of the Michigan Farm Bureau for many years. In 1971 the Langdons retired to the M.J. Clark Memorial Methodist home in Grand Rapids. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters Mrs.William M.(Dorothy) Yates of Midland and Mrs.Andrew W.L.(Louise) Brown of Grosse Pointe Park; two granddaughters, five grandsons and one great-grandchild. Funeral services are Saturday at 1 1am fro the Hubbardston United Methodist Church with Rev. R.D.Flessner officiating, assisted by Rev. Eugene Fowler, Chaplain of the Clark home. Burial is in Hubbardston Cemetery. A Memorial fund is established for the Hubbardston United Methodist Church.
