Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2000

Frances Mary Lange, 85, of Ionia passed away May 31, 2000.  She was born April 
5, 1915 in Florida.  She married Charles Henry Lange, August 31, 1936, who 
preceded her in death on April 15, 1991.  She was a member of LeValley Church, 
4-H leader for many years, Gray Lady at ICMH, and playground super at Rather 
Elementary.

She is survived by her sons, Brandon (Judy) Lange of Ionia and Frederick 
(Darlene) Lange of Lyons; daughters, Sondra (Donald) Bergy of Lowell, Leatrice 
(Eugene) Lemke of Ionia and Dee (Dennis) Lemke of Ionia; brother, Emery 
(Mildred) Townsend of California; sister-in-law, Virginia Lang Pierson of 
Ionia; special friend, Jean Bennett Werner; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by brother, John Townsend and special friend, Charles 
Bennett.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at LeValley Church.  Interment 
at Balcom Cemetery.
Visitation will be at 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Ionia.  Anyone wishing may make memorial contributions to LeValley Church or 
Ionia Commission on Aging.
