Sentinel-Standard - Wednesday, Sept. 28, 1949

Mrs. Bertha Lange, 71, of 422 State street, widow of Emil Lange, died 
Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 6 a.m. at the Ionia County Memorial hospital, where 
she had been a surgical patient since Monday.

She was born in Chicago Oct. 15, 1874, the daughter of Henry and Caroline 
Rubach. Nov. 8, 1905 she married Emil Lange. Since that time she has resided 
in Ionia. Mr. Lange died in October, 1948.

Mrs. Lange was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church.

Surviving are three sons, Howard and Charles of Ionia and Edwin of Grand 
Rapids, and for grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the Boynton funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. 
The Rev. R.A. Rook will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Park 
cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 p.m. to receive 
their friends.
