Lankin, 69, of Leesburg, Florida, formerly of Ionia, died Sunday at her home. She was born December 8, 1923, in Ionia, the daughter of Milo E. and Blanche I. DeGraw Stevens and was graduated from Ionia High School in 1941. She was married to Melvin L. Huffman who died in 1964, and later married to Wilbert C. (Bill) Lankin on April 21, 1984, in Georgia. She lived in Ionia before moving to California during World War II, then returned to the Ionia area before moving to Lansing in 1966. She had been employed by the State of Michigan at the Ingham County Department of Social Services until retiring. She moved to Florida in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, Florida, and the Michigan and Florida Genealogy Society. She is survived by her husband, Wilbert; two daughters, Carol Ann Calderon of Tucker, Georgia and Melanie J. Deppen of Houston, Texas; one step-daughter, Chari Ann Burdick of Alger; three grandchildren; two step grandchildren; and one step great grandchild. Funeral and Committal Services will be 11 am. Friday at the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia, with the Rev. Scott Otis officiating. The family will be at the Rich St. Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Easton Cemetery. A memorial has been established for a cause of one’s choice, in care of the funeral home.
