F. Heald, in Middleton, Mich., aged 84 years, 4 months and 19 days. In 1848 he was married to Caroline Brizee, in Eagle Harbor, Orleans county, N.Y., who died Feb. 6, 1907. For more than half a century Mr. Lansing was a member of the Disciple church, a man of excellent qualities and endearing traits of character, a strong advocate of the temperance cause, and was always ready to do what he could for its advancement. He was one of Michigan’s early settlers, having come to this state about the year 1857, where he resided, for the most part in Ionia county, until his decease. He leaves to mourn his department four children: Manly B., Mrs. George Kelner, Mrs. Charles Heald, and Mrs. Carrie Smith; one daughter, Mrs. Robert Hill, having preceded him across the Great Divide. Besides these there are eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral services in the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. W.W. Brooks, four miles north of Ionia, took place Saturday afternoon, Rev. C. W. Lyman, of Ionia officiating, was attended by a goodly number of relatives, friends and neighbors.
