The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, January 18, 1960
Mrs. Louisa Lanz, 83, widow of William Lanz, died Saturday morning at her 
residence in Orange township where she had lived her entire life.  She was 
born June 8, 1876 in Orange township, the daughter of Alfred and Harriett 
Adgate.  March 16, 1897 she was married to William Lanz.  She was a member of 
the LeValley Methodist church and the LeValley Ladies Aid society.  Mrs. Lanz 
is survived by one son, Max Lanz of route one, Lyons; seven grandchildren; 11 
great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Harriett Flexner of Milwaukee, 
Wisconsin.

The body will be at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home until Tuesday noon when it 
will be taken to the LeValley Methodist church where service will be conducted 
at 2 p.m. by the Rev. J. Lawrence Ward.  Burial will be at Balcom cemetery.
