Ionia Sentinel Standard - Mon. May 23, 1966


PORTLAND- Lifelong resident of Orange and Sebewa townships Earl J. Lapo, 77, 
died Friday at his home at 112 Donna Drive, Portland.

He was a member of Portland Methodist Church, Portland lodge 31 F&AM, and Ionia 
Knights Templar.

Surviving are his wife, Inez, one son, George Gaylord Lapo of Ionia, three 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Neller funeral home in Portland, 
Rev. Robert Treat of Portland Methodist Church, officiating. There will be a 
Masonic service at the gravesite in Portland Cemetery.

Pall bearers will be Clarence Arnold, Sam Burman, Lester Cassel, C.J. Hill, 
Elon Lakin and Harold Lakin.
