Lapo Died Early Wednesday Early Resident of Odessa Succumbs to Paralysis. Leaves Two Sons and One Daughter. Funeral Friday. Early Wednesday morning Alonzo T. Lapo passed away after an illness of paralysis, suffering several strokes in a few days. Mr. Lapo had always lived in the vicinity of Lake Odessa. He owned a farm near the Sebewa Baptist church, then bought one just north of this village where he died. He was a well man, driving wells “here and there” for many years. His wife died in 1934, since that time Mrs. Marie Straley has been his housekeeper. During his illness Charles Carter has been caring for him. He leaves two sons and one daughter, Melvin Lapo of Ionia; Clyde Lapo of Flint, and Mrs. Mabel Quiman of Lansing. There are seven grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren. Mr. Lapo was 79 years of age. The funeral will be held Friday at the Wortley funeral home with Rev. C. E. Thies officiating and burial at Lakeside cemetery.
