Lapo Dies At Hospital Succumbs to a Delayed Operation for Appendicitis. Funeral Sunday Afternoon. Mrs. Alonzo T. Lapo who was reported by this paper as improving after an operation for appendicitis at the local hospital, passed away Friday. Hopes for her recovery had been entertained but the delayed operation for appendicitis had its effect and she passed away as above noted. Funeral services were held at the Wortley funeral home Sunday afternoon at three o’clock and burial was at Lakeside cemetery, Rev. George J. Start officiated. Obituary Lillie V., daughter of George an Ann Brisbin, was born April 28, 1870, in Odessa township and died January 5, 1934, a the age of 63 years eight months and eight days. In 1890 she was united in marriage to Arthur B. Clark. Two sons were born to this union, Floyd F., and Fay L. Mr. Clark died in 1927, the following year she was united in marriage to A. T. Lapo of Lake Odessa where she resided until her death January 5, 1834. Besides her husband she is survived by her two sons, Floyd at Lowell and Fay at Belding; two step sons Clyde Lapo of Flint and Melvin Lapo of Ionia; one sister Mrs. Phoebe Woodard of Lake Odessa, and three brothers, Charles of Woodland, William of Ionia, and Lynn of Lake Odessa.
