George Gaylord Lapo, 86, father of Stephanie Corlew & the late Michael Gaylord 
Lapo, son of Earl J. Lapo, son of George H. Lapo, son of Jacob or Reuben Lapo, 
who settled on Musgrove Hwy. in Sebewa Township about the time of the Civil 
War, on what are known in modern times as the Aubrey David & John Shay farms.  
Gaylord was retired from Ionia State Hospital for the Criminal Insane.  Buried 
at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Cascade Township.
