                             DAVID J. LaREAU

LAKE ODESSA - David J. LaReau, 89, of 165 South State Road, Woodland, formerly 
of Dearborn, died Thursday at the Provincial House West in Lansing.

He was born July 2, 1897, in Iron Mountain, the son of David and Ellen (Pluff) 
L'Hereux.

He attended schools in Iron Mountain and at the age of 16, moved to the Detroit 
area.He was married to Hattie Wold on July 19, 1922 in Detroit. She preceded him 
in death in 1966. He lived int he Detroit area for 50 years before moving to 
Woodland in 1971.

He was employed at the Security Banks of Lincoln for several years.


Surviving include one daughter, Vivian Mattice of Lincoln; a sister-in-law, 
Georgia LaReau of Woodland, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m at the Voran Funeral Home in Allen 
Park. Burial will follow in Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock.

Visitors may call at the Koops Funeral Chapel,Lake Odessa,Friday from 2-9 p.m. 
and at the Voran Funeral Home Saturday from 2-5 and Sunday from 1-9 pm.
