Ionia Sentinel Standard - Aug. 12, 1996


IONIA- Grace Helmer Larsen of Ionia died August 10, 1996 at Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1910, the daughter of Charles and 
Minnie Helmer.

She married Chester Larsen, who preceded her in death in 1946. In 1954, she 
married Raymond Larsen who also preceded her in death in 1975. Also preceding 
her in death were her two sons, Chester Larsen, Jr. and David Larsen. 

She is survived by two sons, Charles (Dixie) Larsen of Ionia and Victor 
(Sharon) Larsen of Ionia; two daughters, Beatrice (Dale) Hauter of Saranac and 
Donna (Jim) Huntley of Ionia; fifteen grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac at 11 a.m., 
Tuesday, Aug. 13, 1996, with Rev. Ken Harger officiate in. Burial will be in 
the Easton Cemetery. The family will be at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on 
Monday, Aug. 12, from 2 to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m., to 8:30 p.m.

There will be a luncheon at the Easton Church following the graveside service.

A memorial has been established for the Easton United Methodist church.
