Setinel-Standard - Monday, March 10, 1975

A self-employed truck driver and part-time Ionia area farmer, Raymond C. 
Larsen, 69, died unexpectedly in Ionia Memorial hospital Sunday evening.

Born May 4, 1905 in Montcalm county he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Larsen 
and lived all his married life in the Ionia area making his home at 3124 Turkey 
Trail. He was last employed at Universal products in Saranac and retired in 
1967.

Surviving is his wife, Grace; three sons, Charles and Victor of Ionia, and 
David of Lake Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Hauter of Saranac and Mrs. 
Donna Huntley of Ionia. A son Chester preceded him in death. 

Other survivors include a brother Elwood Larsen of Ionia; two sisters, Mrs. 
Beulah Tingley of Belding and Florida; and Mrs. Helen Cooper of Gowen; 15 
grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 2 pm,  March 12, at Myer-Roetman funeral home, the Rev. 
Nolan Williams of Zion United Methodist church officiating, with burial in 
Easton cemetery.

Family members will be at the funeral home Monday from 8 pm to 9 pm and Tuesday 
from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

A memorial has been established for the cardiac care unit at Ionia hospital and 
contributions may be left at the funeral home. 

Additional Comments:
Funeral services for Raymond C. Larsen were Wednesday at 2 pm. Rev. Nolan 
Williams officiated and interment was at Easton cemetery.

Bearers were Tim Kimble, Tom Hauter, Tom Hanline, Martin Huntley, Charles 
Helmer and James Thompson.
