Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2003

Gina (Guidi) Brooks Larson, 75, of Portland, passed away, Wednesday, January 
29, 2003.  She was born on August 25, 1927 in Portland the daughter of Albert 
and Quintilia (Agostini) Guidi.  Gina was a former teacher at St. Patrick’s 
Catholic School, proprietor of Slightly Tarnished Antique Store, and was a 
professional artist.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Gloria (Guidi) 
Cameron.  She is survived by her children, Hal Brooks Jr., Amy Brooks and her 
husband Bill Puttock and Mary Frances (Brooks) Matzke and her husband, Bradley; 
granddaughters, Molly Puttock and Anna Matzke; and sister, Liana (Guidi) 
Cunningham.

A memorial mass will be celebrated by Rev. Charles D. Hall, Pastor, at 11 a.m. 
Saturday, February 22, 2003 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Portland.  Rite 
of Committal will be in Portland Cemetery.
There will be no funeral home visitation.  For those wishing, memorial 
contributions may be made to the Fr. Flohe foundation, 140 Church St., 
Portland, MI 48875, in memory of Gina.  Special thanks to Becky Pline, and the 
staff of Heartland Healthcare of Ionia, Sparrow Regional Cancer Center, and 
Ionia Area Hospice.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral 
Home, Portland.
