She was born on Dec. 11, 1933 in Ionia, the daughter of Elmer and Sarah (Aldrich) Larson. She started teaching at Day School in Keene Township, 1952, one year in Grand Ledge and 39 years in elementary education in the Lakewood Public Schools until retiring in 1991. She was a member of South Boston Bible Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ for the church and for herself. She served with Child Evangelism Fellowship and active in the Ionia County Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Robert (Jean) Larson of Grand Rapids, Gerald (Deb) Larson of Saranac, Richard (Marilyn) Larson of Saranac and Alice (John) Smith of Ionia; 19 nieces and nephews; and 36 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Lawson Funeral services for Grace Larson will be held at 11 a.m., Friday at South Boston Church with Rev. Ron Tuinstra officiating. The family will receive friends and family from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Thursday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia.
