She was born July 31, 1933 in Ionia, the daughter of Bernard and Gladys (Keift) Sible. Preceding Joyce in death were her parents, her sister, June, and three spouses Richard Adams, Robert Yeiter, and Francis Larson. Joyce is survived by her children, Bryant Adams of Ionia, Mark (Kathy) Adams of Saranac, Scott (Sue) Adams of Ada, Sherri (Jim) Kelley of Ionia, and Debbie (Nick) Almasy of Grand Ledge; step-children, Dick Yeiter of Wayland, Lee (Linda) Yeiter of Saranac, Susan (Jim) Huver of Ionia and Judy (Gary) Volker of Commerce; sisters, Jean Nelson of Ionia, Joan (Bill) Jones of Allegan, and Lorraine (Doug) Emelander of Saranac; brother-in-law, Dorne Avery of Ionia. She took great joy in her 17 grandchildren and step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Joyce was a member of Shiloh Community Church, and former member of Easton United Methodist Church of Ionia, and First Christian Church of Ionia. She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, crocheting, and knitting. She loved cooking for her family especially at holidays when she made great pies and at family birthdays when she made the family favorite of chocolate cake with fluffy white frosting – we fought over the four corners pieces of a round cake. Joyce loved to travel and visit with people - she was a good listener and comforter. She made numerous tablecloths and afghans that brighten the homes of friends and family. She loved hearing her children sing and was proud of the many accomplishments of all of those in her family. Joyce will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Monday, July 7, at Shiloh Community Church with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. Visitation will be Monday 1 p.m. until time of services at the church. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. Memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Community Church.
