DONNA MAE (GIETZEN) LARSON 1928-2016
Donna Mae (Gietzen) larson, born Aug. 10, 1928, Remus, Michigan, died peacefully 
Aug. 17, 2016, and is celebrating with joy her eternal life with Christ her 
Savior and Lord.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents William and Juanita Gietzen, infant 
son Isadore Faylor, son Kenneth Thorn, husband Victor Larson, and brothers Roman 
Gietzen and Robert Gietzen.

Left to treasure her memory are devoted daughter Cindy Faylor, sons Victor 
Faylor, Curt Faylor, Claire Faylor, daughter Juanita Newland, sons Keith Thorn 
and Charles Thorn, and 60-plus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-
great-grandchildren.

Donna loved spending time with family, solving crossword puzzles, and playing a 
mean game of Yahtzee. A master at whipping up yummy treats, her legendary donut 
holes remain unparalleled. Donna will be remembered for he generous nature, 
sharp wit, and captivating stories. Donna was such a wonderful person, loved by 
all. She was one that many could sit and talk to all day. She was a great 
listener and gave out great advice.

Donna was and always will be a treasure to us all and forever in our hearts. 
Donna's family thanks the caring and dedicated staff and many resident friends 
at Laurels of Kent where she resided for the past five years.

Visitation will take place at Lake Funeral Home 3521 S. State Road, Ionia, MI. 
on Monday, Aug.22, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a memorial service to 
follow at 1 p.m. A luncheon will take place at 2 p.m., St.Anthony's Roman 
Catholic church, 3936 Jackson Road, Saranac, MI. Online condolences may be made
