Born in Chicago, Ill., February 1, 1892, he was the son of Francis and Marie Nelson Larson and moved to rural Ionia area with his family when he was 14. He made his home on a farm at the corner of South State and Tuttle roads and attended the Loomis school. He worked at the Stout elevator and farmed with his father. He was married October 21, 1920 to Josephine Aldrich at her parents home in Berlin township. He had made his home at the present residence nearly 55 years and he and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at the LeValley United Methodist church in 1970. He was a member of the LeValley church and was a past member of the church board of trustees and an usher for several years. He was also a member of the Loomis school board many years and the LeValley Farm Bureau. Besides his wife, Josephine, he leaves two sons, Francis of rural Ionia and William A. of Brighton ; daughter, Mrs. Joyce Evans of Battle Creek; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Arthur Larson of Weyland and Harry Larson of Grand Ledge; and sister, Mrs. Martha Morris of Grand Ledge. Service arrangements will be announced by the Leddick funeral home. Family members will be at the funeral home Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial has been established.
