Ionia Standard - Friday 15 April 1887
Old Mr. LaSalle died at the residence of his son, P. P. LaSalle Monday 
morning, aged 82.  Funeral held at the residence and Union church on Wednesday 
following.  Rev. Mr. Janes conducted the services assisted by Rev. F. H. 
Jacokes.  Mr. LaSalle was one of our best citizens.  A hard worker, kind and 
courteous to all with whom he met and above all an earnest, faithful 
Christian.  He has been a resident of Michigan about 25 years.
