LILLIAN R. LASH PASSES AWAY Rev. Lillian R. Lash, 87, of 2020 W. 28th St. Wyoming, a former Lake Odessa resident, passed away early Tuesday at the Osteopathic Hospital, Grand Rapids, several hours after admittance. She was born in Allegan on February 7, 1879 and her parens were Alonzo and Mary Burnham. She was a 1838 graduate of the Wastson High school also a graduate of Valpraiso Indiana University. Mrs. Lash was ordained as a minister in the Pilgrim Holiness Church April 24,1932. She pastured Leesburg, Ohio from 1934-35 and at Crooksville, Ohio from 1936-37, also at Ashley, Michigan, 1937-38. She was a public school teacher in Ohio for 13 years. She and her husband Rev. Orval Lash resided here for several years, when he was pastor at the Calvary United Brethren church at the time of his death in 1921. At one time Rev. Lash was the superintendent a the United Brethren Home of Charlotte. She was a member of the Berkley Hill Pilgrim Holiness Church in Grand Rapids and has been a resident there for the last 27 years. Surviving are three nieces, Miss Reva Walt of Grand Rapids, Mrs. G. M. (Bertha) Woolsey and Mrs. Laverne (Jean) Roberts, both of Lake Odessa. Mr. Lash reposes at the Pickens Funeral Chapel where services will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 with Re. Donald Diehl officiating with burial in Lakeside cemetery.
