Another Worthy Pioneer Citizen Passes Away In the death of Gottlieb Lauster, at 9 o'clock last evening, there passes forever from earthly scenes one of the early business men of Ionia, whose long residence here has brought him the confidence and esteem of his fellow citizens to an unusual degree. Mr. Lauster was born in Wurtemberg, Germany, Dec. 7, 1817. He emigrated to American in 1854, and finally located in Ionia in 1856. He was without capital, but a sturdy reliable worker, with the sterling qualities that count for success anywhere, and in a few years he was in trade, and doing a successful business. He continued in business until failing health , a little over three years ago, caused him to retire. He was succeeded by his sons, Fred. G. and Charles, the later having been in the business for some years before. He leaves a wife and five children, Mrs. Lauster being a sister of Fred Cutler, Sr. and George Cutler. The sons are George F., Fred G., and Charles, of this city, and William of New York city, and the daughter, is Sophie, wife of Louis Morgenthaler. Funeral service at family residence, 246 East Washington street, at 1 p.m. tomorrow. Interment at Highland Park.
