Lauster died on Monday afternoon, after a brief illness. The funeral took place from their home on West Main street this morning at 10 o'clock. The services were brief, but very impressive. Mesdames Parsons and Bailey sang appropriate hymns. Dr. Thomas read the services of the church, and said that Jesus was very fond of little children; that one beautiful thought of heaven was that it was full of children; that our little ones are safe and happy in the arms of the Saviour; that he is father and mother to them; that he would see to their training and culture as we could not; that they will grow up in his presence without anything to mar their happiness; no sin there, no temptation, no sorrow, no tears there; we miss our little ones, but they have gained; they are not dead, but living with God and all the dear ones that have gone before. They have gone before, but they are ours the same; we shall meet again. Weep not as those having no hope. Oh, what a joyful meeting that will be, all reunited in ineffable glory, never to part again. Interment at Highland Park cemetery.
