He was born at Clare February 1, 1901, the son of Albert B. and Sarah Naugel Lautzenheiser. He was a self employed carpenter and cabinet maker all his life and also was custodian at a Lansing school. April 15, 1927, he was married to Bernice L. Pew and they had lived in Easton township from 1959 until moving to Lansing. She died in April of 1975. He was a member of the Jehovah Witnesses. Among his survivors are a son, Robert of Saranac, two daughters, Mrs. Aura Fletcher of Sunfield and Mrs. Rose Brown of Ionia; 13 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; brother, Louis Lautzenheiser of Lansing. Services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Roetman funeral home in Saranac. Rev. Crickmore of Lansing Jehovah Witnesses will officiate and interment will be at the Easton cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Cancer fund.
