Ionia Sentinel Standard, 4 May 1982

Augustus J. Laux, 88, of 2629 Miriam Road, Belding, died Monday at Belding
Community Hospital.  He was born June 8, 1893 at Easton Township the son of
Methias and Odelia Scheid Laux.  He was a retired farmer and a member of St.
Mary’s Church, Miriam.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudine, on March 24, 1982.  Surviving
are one daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Feuerstein of Belding; one son, David of
Belding; and 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home in
Belding.  A requiem funeral mass will be said Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at St.
Mary’s Church, Miriam, with Father Charles Dautremont officiating.  Burial will
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Miriam.  The family will visit with friends and
relatives Tuesday 3-4 and 7-8:30 p.m.
