The Belding Banner, Thursday, November 26, 1908
Mrs. John C. Laux died at her home in Miriam Monday, aged 70 years.  The 
deceased was the widow of John C. Laux who died about six years ago.  She 
leaves two sons, Matt and Joe Laux.  The funeral, in charge of Foster & 
Ritter, undertakers, was held Thursday.  One by one the old pioneers of this 
county are dropping away.
