BELDING- Ida (Sis) Steffes Laux, 63 of Belding died Saturday at Blodgett 
Memorial Medical Center, Grand Rapids.

Born Sept. 25, 1931, she was the daughter of Peter and Elsie Arnock Steffes. 
She was graduated from Greenville High School in the class of 1949.

She was a member of St. Mary's Miriam Church, the church Altar Society and the 
United Scleroderma Foundation.

She was married July 31, 1954, at St. Marys Miriam to David Laux, he survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Diana (Steve) Whitford of Gilbert, Ariz., and 
Geralyn (Rick) Barker of Rockford; four sons, Dan (Kathy) Laux of Charlotte, 
David M. (Karen) Laux of Rockford, Dennis (Petra) Laux of Belding, and Tim 
(Kelly) Laux, also of Belding; 11 grandchildren; her mother, Elsie Steffes; a 
sister, Rose (Paul) Scheid of Belding; and two brothers, Don and Bud Steffes, 
both of Belding. 

Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Miriam.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. 

The family will be at Johnson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. 
Monday, with vigil service at 8 p.m.

Memorials have been established for the United Scleroderma Foundation and St. 
Mary's Miriam Building Fund, in care of the funeral home
