Ionia Daily Sentinel, 12 Jun 1944

Miss Frances J. Lavender, 94, lifelong resident of Ionia county, died Sunday
evening after an illness of many months.  She was born April 3, 1850, near
Lowell and was the last member of the family of John and Mary Lavender.

She is survived by four nieces, Mrs. Grace Piper of Ronald, Mrs. Sephus Hansen
and Mrs. Ben Kraft of Greenville and Mrs. Elma Cooley of Seattle, Wash.; three
nephews, John Lavender of Coral, Glenn Lavender of Greenville and Walter
Lavender of Edmore.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Myers
funeral home.  Burial will be in Orleans cemetery.
