Lawrence of Ionia died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. W. Dennis in Detroit last Saturday, after a week’s acute illness. The funeral was held at Jackson Tuesday and burial was at that place beside her sister. Rev. Floyd H. Cramer her pastor here preached the funeral sermon. Mrs. Lawrence was held in very high esteem by her neighbors and loved by all her friends and those whom she knew became her friends. She was a devoted wife and mother and a loyal and very earnest Christian being a loyal member of the Central Methodist church here. She never hesitated to speak a word for her Master wherever opportunity presented itself. Mrs. Lawrence was about sixty-eight years of age. She was married to Mr. Lawrence in 1908 and whenever health permitted attended to every need of her family until Mr. Lawrence death, March 24. Since which time she has made her home with her daughter in Detroit. Aside from her own daughter she leaves her step-son, H. C. Lawrence and family of Ionia, formerly of Lake Odessa who mourn her devoted love and kindness.
