Lowell Ledger, 31 Mar 1999

Willard C. Lawrence, age 89, of Saranac, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 1999
at his home.  He was born April 13, 1909 in Willshire, OH, the son of Clinton
and Zorpha (Reed) Lawrence.  He married Marion Pingry on January 25, 1930 and
she preceded him in death on December 2, 1994.  Surviving are his children,
Jackie (Fred) Cahoon of Lowell, Ralph (Alyce) Lawrence of Lowell, Larry (Fran)
Lawrence of TN, and Gary Lawrence of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; 16
great-grandchildren; brothers, Thurl (Noreen) Lawrence of AZ, and Lamoile
(Dorothy) Lawrence of IN; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death
by his daughters, Marilyn Jean and Marsha Annette Lawrence; brothers, Cecil and
Ralph Lawrence; sister Mildred Bowers.  Funeral Services were held Monday at the
Koops Funeral Chapel, Clarksville, with Rev. Troy Rininger officiated. 
Interment in South Boston Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the Ionia Area
Hospice.
