The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, March 21, 1979

Minnie Layton, 99, of 227 West St., Portland, died Tuesday at the Ionia 
Manor.  She was born Aug. 12, 1879 in Montcalm County.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Layton of Portland and Leland Layton of 
Mason; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Neller Funeral Home in Portland.  
The Rev. Donald Weber will officiate.  Burial will be at Horton, Mich.
